dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación busca describir la relación existente entre la prostitución y el envejecimiento en el curso de vida de un grupo de mujeres en situación de prostitución que asisten al centro “Escucha” programa de las hermanas Adoratrices, ubicado en el parque Berrio en el centro de la ciudad de Medellín. Para alcanzar esta meta iniciamos con la aplicación de una encuesta semi con las dimensiones: biopsicosocial y familiar para identificar la percepción y los conocimientos respecto a la vejez y al hecho de envejecer que tienen de la vejez, tales como los cuidados y la preparación en los diferentes aspectos del ser, que poseen las personas implicadas en el proyecto. La aplicación y tabulación de la encuesta evalúa el área biopsicosocial, los sentimientos y pensamiento frente al proceso de envejecimiento y vejez, además las relaciones familiares de una comunidad estigmatizada y excluida socialmente, formado por un grupo de mujeres que han tenido pocas oportunidades, desembocando en la prostitución y el abandono. Para esta investigación será empleado el método del interaccionismo simbólico, teoría que permite comprender y explicar la acción social a partir del individuo, es decir estudiar a la persona como ser social que está en constante interacción.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishThe current degree work wanted to describe and under-stand the relationship that exists between prostitution and aging during a group of women´s life who attend the center “escucha” of the Anderatrices sisters, placed at the Berrio park in Medellín city; this research focused on the perception that this population has about age and aging. The research was qualitative type: since this type of researching permits to use “sensitive concepts through which the meaning and the participants´ practices can be captured and preserved” (Bonilla & Rodriguez, 1997, pag.66.). This research focused on the language and reports that women who work in prostitution have created around their identity, since it´s possible to know the meanings through language only, the experiences, emotion, ideals which have influenced that they see themselves one way or another. The issue of relationship between prostitution and aging during life, is an issue that despite its complexity has not been given much attention concerning to the research field. Prostitution and aging is a situation that has been marked historically by stigmatization, result of the institinalization of an unfair model of cultural interpretation and assessment that hardly accommodates plurality which has generated excluding attitudes and behaviors against prostitution and aging. This research work is systematized in five chapters: In the first chapter, the conceptual design which is fundamental part in the research process is established. This section contains: The problem formulation, justification, the ethical references and objectives. In the secobd chapter, the theoretical framework is found which is one of the most important phases of a research work, it lies in expanding the theories that will base the work based on the problem statement. This section contains: Several definition about prostitution and aging taken from several authors. In the third Chapter, the methodological design is delimited which determines how to respond the research question and achieve the research objectives. This unit contains: Study approach, technique and procedure to gather information, strategies, design of the questionnaire and hypothesis. In the fourth chapter, the result obtained in the application of the information gathering instrument are presented; in this section is the gathering and registration of information, the organization and analysis of the results. And finally, the fifth chapter where the conclusions and recommendation are exposed, derived from the research work.spa
