dc.description.abstractEl presente artículo es el resultado de una investigación que se centra en uno de los aspectos de la coyuntura migratoria que se ha presentado en el país durante los últimos cuatro años con la llegada de personas provenientes de Venezuela; se trata de los imaginarios sociales sobre los inmigrantes. Se estudió el caso particular de Rionegro, Antioquia, partiendo de la pregunta ¿Qué imaginarios sociales se han construido en la población del Municipio de Rionegro sobre los migrantes venezolanos? Se utilizó como categorías de análisis los imaginarios sociales, el extranjero y la dignidad humana del migrante. El objeto de estudio se abordó desde un enfoque cualitativo, desde el paradigma interpretativo - comprensivo y el diseño metodológico se basó en el “análisis de trayectorias”. Se identificaron dos tendencias en los imaginarios sociales de los rionegreros frente a los extranjeros: una de aceptación con ciertas condiciones y otra de distancia que se expresa en xenofobia y aporofobia. Desde los imaginarios de distancia frente al inmigrante, se configura el venezolano como un tipo sub-humano y como el responsable de la profundización de problemáticas sociales como la inseguridad y el desempleo. Se considera la necesidad de reconocer otras gramáticas de la dignidad humana del migrante y de emprender acciones para prevenir manifestaciones de discriminación y violencia en contra de esta población.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishThis article is the result of an investigation that focuses on one of the aspects of the migratory situation that has occurred in the country during the last four years with the arrival of people from Venezuela, It’s about the social imaginaries about immigrants. It was studied the particular case of Rionegro, Antioquia, starting from the question ¿What social imaginaries have been built in the population of the Municipality of Rionegro on Venezuelan migrants? Social imaginaries, foreigners and the human dignity of migrants were used as categories of analysis. The object of the study was approached from a qualitative approach, from the interpretative paradigm - comprehensive and the methodological design was based on the “trajectorys analysis”. Two tendencies were identified in the social imaginaries of the rionegreros in front of the foreigners: one of acceptance with certain conditions and another of distance that is expressed in xenophobia and aporophobia. In the imaginaries of distance in front immigrant, the Venezuelan is configured as a sub-human type and as responsible for deepening social issues such as insecurity and unemployment. It is considered necessary to recognize other grammars of the human dignity of migrants and to take action to prevent manifestations of discrimination and violence against this population.eng
