| es_ES |
dc.description.abstractenglish | The literature reports that the Executive Functions are important for the acquisition of concepts, abilities and skills in the area of mathematics, establishing a relationship that is maintained throughout the initial school (Risso et al., 2015). Therefore, the present pretension project will determine the performance of the Executive Functions in children of 6-8 years with and without difficulties in the mathematical performance of an educational institution of the municipality of the Sanctuary. A quantitative, non-experimental, comparative cross-sectional methodology was considered, with a total sample of 37 students, to assess the mathematical performance, the Woodcock Muñoz Battery of achievement skills and the neuropsychological Battery of Executive Functions and Frontal Lobes (BANFE -2) were detected. ) The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences between the performance of EF in children with and without difficulties in mathematical performance, there is no evidence that children with difficulties in mathematical performance have a tendency to obtain lower performance in Executive Functions. As a result of this, it is concluded, the incidence that various higher-order functions have in the critical mathematics learning process, the maturity of FE as one of the essential variables for school success or failure.
