dc.description.abstractEl presente artículo es una síntesis de la investigación realizada sobre las representaciones sociales que estudiantes del grado quinto B, de la institución educativa Carlos Pérez Mejía, del municipio de Bello Antioquia, poseen sobre los derechos humanos. Esta investigación fue desarrollada con niñas y niños entre los 9 y 12 años, residentes en uno de los municipios catalogados como más violentos de Colombia, y se orientó a identificar las comprensiones que ellas y ellos tienen sobre el concepto de derechos humanos, las situaciones de vulneración que se viven en su contexto y los mecanismos que consideran necesarios para garantizar su cumplimiento. Por medio de la información recogida mediante un grupo de discusión, análisis de contenido a partir de un collage y una encuesta, fue posible concluir que las niñas y niños han construido en su entorno escolar una comprensión de derechos humanos que insiste en la buena conducta y en el cumplimiento de normas, pero que limita la función del Estado como su garante fundamental. La conclusión principal apunta a la necesidad de enriquecer las representaciones sociales vigentes por medio de procesos de educación en derechos, contextualizados, transversalizados y complementados con aportes de tipo jurídico, histórico y cultural, que permitan fortalecer la identidad y la actuación de las y los infantes como sujetos de derechos.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishThis article is a synthesis of the research conducted on the social representations that students of the fifth grade B, of the Carlos Pérez Mejia’s educational institution, of the municipality of Bello Antioquia have on human rights. This research was developed with girls and boys between the ages of 9 and 12, residing in one of the municipalities classified as the most violent in Colombia, and was aimed to identify the understandings that they both have about the concept of human rights, the situations of vulnerability that is experienced in its context and the mechanisms that they consider necessary to ensure compliance. Through the information collected through a discussion group, content analysis from a collage and a survey, it was possible to conclude that girls and boys have built an understanding of human rights in their school environment that insists on good behavior and in compliance with regulations, but which limits the role of the State as its fundamental guarantor. The main conclusion points to the need to enrich the current social representations through processes of education in rights, contextualized, mainstreaming and complemented with contributions of a legal, historical and cultural nature, which allow strengthening the identity and performance of infants as subjects of rights.eng
