dc.description.abstractResumen: El municipio de Jardín, se ubica en la región suroeste del departamento de Antioquia y es uno de los destinos turísticos predilectos por nacionales y extranjeros. Como profesional de gerontología, surge la inquietud por indagar acerca de las condiciones que poseen los destinos turísticos del municipio para la atención de los adultos mayores, además de sondear la oferta turística que se realiza para este grupo poblacional. El objetivo de esta investigación es identificar la valoración que tienen los adultos mayores frente a los servicios turísticos ofertados en el municipio de Jardín, a través de un estudio transversal, de carácter observacional con alcance descriptivo, realizado entre (febrero-diciembre de 2019). Inicialmente se realiza una caracterización del municipio y de su oferta turística, encontrando que se hace necesario realizar adecuaciones significativas para la atención de adultos mayores, personas con movilidad reducida o en situación de discapacidad. Posteriormente se describen las preferencias de los adultos mayores en cuanto a la prestación del servicio de turismo destacando aquellas actividades que involucran el contacto con la naturaleza, visitar sitios culturales e históricos. Sumado a lo anterior, se identifican las necesidades y el nivel de satisfacción en cuanto a la prestación del servicio de turismo que poseen los adultos mayores. A manera de conclusión, el tema de turismo gerontológico no ha sido explorado ampliamente, tampoco se ha identificado en Colombia el potencial que trae para los distintos destinos diseñar planes ajustados a este grupo poblacional con el fin de satisfacer las demandas y expectativas de los adultos mayores. Los planes turísticos deben contemplar este tipo de actividades.es_ES
dc.description.abstractenglishThe municipality of Jardín, is located in the southwest region of the department of Antioquia and is one of the favorite tourist destinations for nationals and foreigners. As a gerontology professional, the concern arises to inquire about the conditions that the tourist destinations of the municipality have for the care of the elderly, in addition to probing the tourist offer that is made for this population group. The objective of this research is to identify the assessment that older adults have against the tourist services offered in the municipality of Jardín, through a cross-sectional, observational study with a descriptive scope, carried out between (February-December 2019). Initially, a characterization of the municipality and its tourist offer is made, finding that it is necessary to make significant adjustments to care for older adults, people with reduced mobility or people with disabilities. Subsequently, the preferences of older adults regarding the provision of the tourism service are described, highlighting those activities that involve contact with nature, visiting cultural and historical sites. In addition to the above, the needs and level of satisfaction with regard to the provision of the tourism service that older adults possess are identified. By way of conclusion, the topic of gerontological tourism has not been widely explored, nor has the potential for designing different plans for this population group in order to satisfy the demands and expectations of older adults been identified in Colombia. The tourist plans must contemplate this type of activities.es_ES
