dc.description.abstractLa investigación de la familia plantea diferentes retos, tanto conceptuales como técnicos y metodológicos, los cuales se sortean en las diferentes etapas investigativas. El presente capítulo muestra la caracterización de las familias del Oriente antioqueño, el cual enseña como resultado una herramienta metodológica desde lo cualitativo para el estudio de las familias. La herramienta plantea el análisis de diferentes aspectos y variables familiares que se pueden recolectar a través de una guía, la cual ha sido validada durante el proceso de trabajo con 1280 personas, en 21 municipios de la región del Oriente antioqueño. Se evidencia en el proceso la innovación metodológica para el trabajo con las familias, su utilidad, pertinencia y replicabilidad como instrumento para emplear en diferentes contextos, por su facilidad y entrenamiento requerido para su aplicación.
dc.description.abstractengThe present study scrutinizes the proposal for the Social Work program at the Universidad Católica de Oriente, with reference to the "Reflections for updating the curriculum’s guidelines for social work" outlined by the National Council for Education on Social Work (CONETS). Based on a qualitative methodology of descriptive nature with a hermeneutical focus; the research conducted semi-structured interviews with three professors from the program; engaged a core group of six students who had completed at least 75% of the syllabus and employed thematic analysis methods. This submission addresses two of the eight analytical categories delineated in the CONETS document, "Prácticas académicas y sentido de la investigación" (study service and the sense of research). The findings elucidate that the Social Work program has made significant strides in recent years in fostering the integration of study service and research processes. Moreover, the program has identified a range of needs and compiled proposals for enhancement. Consequently, it has attained a distinguished level of academic relevance, contextual appropriateness, and formative quality, aligning with the standards set forth by CONETS.
