dc.description.abstractEn Colombia, el cultivo de flores de corte para la exportación ha sido el cultivar más exitoso en el país, en términos de ingresos y desarrollo. Pues en las últimas tres décadas, la floricultura del país ha pasado de exportar unos miles de dólares al año, a vender en los países destino más de 500 millones de dólares anuales. Según la Superintendencia de Sociedades, 2016, actualmente Colombia es el segundo exportador de flores a nivel mundial, con una participación del 17 %, seguido de Ecuador con 11 % y en primer lugar Holanda con el 40 %. Así mismo, entre los principales importadores a nivel mundial se encuentran EE. UU., Alemania y Reino Unido, con 16 %, 15 % y 13 %, respectivamente.es_ES
