dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar las estrategias de afrontamiento en adolescentes entre los 11 y 14 años que presentan conductas autolesivas pertenecientes a una Institución Educativa de Envigado. La investigación se desarrolló a partir de un enfoque mixto el cual es un proceso que recolecta, analiza y vincula datos cuantitativos y cualitativos en un mismo estudio para responder a un planteamiento (Grinnell, 1997 citado por Hernández, Collado y Baptista, 2003, p. 43). La muestra estuvo conformada por 6 adolescentes entre los 11 y 14 años, pertenecientes a un Institución Educativa de Envigado. Se realizó un muestreo intencional con el fin de contar con una población que tuviera características similares para la ejecución del estudio. Para responder al objetivo del estudio se emplearon los siguientes instrumentos: La Escala de Afrontamiento para Adolescentes (ACS) de Frydenberg y Lewis, y la entrevista semiestructura acerca de las conductas autolesivas. El análisis de los resultados se llevó a cabo a través del paquete estadístico Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) y una matriz de análisis. Los resultados arrojaron que las estrategias de afrontamiento más utilizadas por los adolescentes que presentan conductas autolesivas son: no afrontamiento, distracción física y reducción de la tensión y las estrategias menos utilizadas son: resolver el problema y preocuparse.es_ES
dc.description.abstractenglishThe objective of this research was to analyze coping strategies in adolescents between 11 and 14 years old who present self-injurious behaviors belonging to an Envigado Educational Institution. The research was developed from a mixed approach which is a process that collects, analyzes and links quantitative and qualitative data in a single study to respond to an approach (Grinnell, 1997 cited by Hernández, Collado and Baptista, 2003, p. 43). The sample consisted of 6 adolescents between 11 and 14 years, belonging to an Educational Institution of Envigado. Intentional sampling was carried out in order to have a population that had similar characteristics for the execution of the study. In order to respond to the objective of the study, the following instruments were used: The Coping Scale for Adolescents (ACS) of Frydenberg and Lewis. And the semi-structured interview about self-injurious behaviors. The analysis of the results was carried out through the statistical package Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and an analysis matrix. The results showed that the coping strategies most used by adolescents with self-injurious behaviors are: Non-coping, physical distraction and stress reduction and the least used strategies are: Solving the problem and worrying.es_ES
