dc.description.abstractenglishCurrently it is common to find workers belonging to the sales area, who lack specific soft skills, because having empathy and fit in the way to address and treat a customer does not give the security to make a sale, learning to stand out or differentiate within the labor field is subject to the management of soft skills, as they allow to establish interpersonal relationships and improve communication with others. Based on this, it is considered important to develop a training plan on the importance of soft skills in travel agencies in the municipality of Rionegro, taking into account that these companies provide a service and have a direct relationship with users, so they must know very well how to relate and reach their customers; soft skills are necessary for interaction with others, as they allow a better management of the demands and everyday situations (World Health Organization, 1994). Taking into account the above, developing a training plan to identify the most important and necessary management skills for these companies is fundamental because it allows to identify the different work scenarios and in this way to potentiate the most appropriate and assertive competencies, such as the communicative, group, integral, decision making and leadership, which allow to articulate all the fields of action or work and in this way it will be possible to determine which is the most notorious deficiency today within what is sought in a travel agency. It is important to mention that the competences allow to measure the achievements and the reach of the objectives outlined in the short, medium and long term of a company; the possibility of fulfilling these purposes is subject to the formative part acquired by the personnel, since it is the most determinant and rigorous bet to which a great number of companies wish to bet to achieve the expected performance and to reach great levels of prestige. Now, the results of this research are of great relevance since they will allow the identification of those attributes or capacities that the personnel of a travel agency should potentiate and in this way it can differentiate and stand out within the current competitive market not only the sales employee, but also the organization, allowing an efficient performance in comparison to other companies of the sector. In addition, these results will also serve as a basis for job training in institutions or universities.eng
