| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | In the following pages, Émile Durkheim's Education and Sociology and its relation to the positivist theory of education are discussed. The work is placed in its historical, political and cultural context, examining some currents of thought and intellectual debates that influenced Durkheim. It also analyzes the author's relationship with the French Revolution and the implications it had on society and education. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of understanding Durkheim's vision of education, pedagogy, society, positivism, and teaching. Chapter two of the text delves into Durkheim's conceptions of education and pedagogy. It is established that education should be objective and based on empirical observation, while pedagogy is conceived as an empirical science of education. To carry out this research, the method of reconstructive hermeneutics was used, based on Habermas' postulates. This approach made it possible to go beyond the description of phenomena and focus on the interpretation of their meaning and context. Reconstructive hermeneutics was applied specifically to the analysis and interpretation of social and cultural phenomena, using instruments such as bibliographic cards, contextual cards and triangulation cards. This method is based on the idea that interpretation is a continuous process and that meanings can be reconstructed and reinterpreted according to the context in which they are used. | spa |
