Human beings, immersed in the world, tirelessly seek to answer the question, What is man? This question, which apparently can be easily answered, has become in all times and for some philosophers, a question that goes beyond anthropology, psychology, metaphysics and ontology, because it is not only to know what man is, but also how he lives, how he relates, how he communicates; limiting the question to the what, leaves aside other dimensions, integrity that is required to understand the human being a little better. It is to take the step from the what to the who is man. This apparently nominal leap is an epistemological leap, because it includes, in addition to the relational component, the ethical component, since anthropology is constituted as a treatise that studies man, as a free subject, who moves in the behavioural understanding all the time. This is how anthropology penetrates and permeates other sciences such as philosophy, ethics, sociology, law, ecology, among many others. As a result of the different academic efforts, including research, teaching and extension, the text Fifteen Lessons in Philosophical Anthropology has been conceived as an initiative born from the very heart and identity of the Universidad Católica de Oriente. Its general objective is focused on motivating points of reflection and encounter in relation to humanistic training, especially in the area of anthropology, a vision that is integrated with the entire route of the Institution in the area of Humanities, thus fulfilling the call of the institutional mission, which is framed in the service to the human person, and a vision that drives us to have a scientific, business, ethical and social leadership, under the premise: Be whole!es_ES
