dc.description.abstractEl libro da cuenta de los resultados obtenidos en la investigación "caracterización del mercado laboral en el Altiplano del Oriente antioqueño" que tuvo por objetivo analizar la oferta laboral en seis municipios de la subregión del valle de San Nicolas, mediante un estudio que indagó sobre variables determinantes de la oferta laboral, para brindar información e indicadores a las organizaciones, administraciones municipales, académicos y público en general interesado en el tema. La investigación se realizó como parte de una de las estrategias que tiene trazado el Observatorio del mercado laboral del Oriente antioqueño, constituido por la Universidad Católica de Oriente, la Universidad de Antioquia, la Cámara de Comercio, la Corporación Empresarial del Oriente y Comfenalco. Dicha estrategia busca proveer información de los principales indicadores de empleo y desempleo para la región, ya que el Departamento Nacional (Dane) realiza una caracterización general con base en datos de los principales centros urbanos del país, más no de forma especifica para la región. Adicionalmente, esta información busca dar un mayor soporte estadístico para la toma de decisiones locales frente al mercado laboral.es_ES

dc.description.abstractenglishThe book gives an account of the results obtained in the investigation "characterization of the labor market in the Altiplano of the East of Antioquia", which aimed to analyze the labor supply in six municipalities of the San Nicolas Valley subregion, through a study that investigated variables determinants of the labor supply, to provide information and indicators to organizations, municipal administrations, academics and the general public interested in the subject. The research was carried out as part of one of the strategies that the Observatory of the labor market of the East of Antioquia has, drawn up by the Catholic University of the East, the University of Antioquia, the Chamber of Commerce, the Corporación Empresarial del Oriente and Comfenalco. This strategy seeks to provide information on the main employment and unemployment indicators for the region, since the National Department (Dane) performs a general characterization based on data from the main urban centers of the country, but not specifically for the region. Additionally, this information seeks to provide greater statistical support for local decision making in relation to the labor market.es_ES
