| dc.description.abstractenglish | The privileged position that the Colombian flower sector has in the international market, greatly enhanced by Eastern Antioquia, forces companies to seek ways to help them stand out, one of these being the accreditations in good agricultural practices. In accordance with the above, this study aims to present the benefits based on experiences and research that the implementation of the Global GAP and Florverde Sustainable Flowers certifications generates to companies internally and commercially, together with the most significant costs that must be carried out, and thus make known in a broader way the approach to these implementations.The cooperation of the companies of Eastern Antioquia allows to a great extent to answer the research question. This is through the response to surveys that show the impact of international certifications in each of their administrative, productive and commercial processes. In this way, the floriculture companies let know that they have clear knowledge about the certifications they have and the role played by each one of them, helping to determine the different interests for which they decide to be certified with Global G.A.P. or Florverde Sustainable Flowers, interests based on the capacity to assume costs, and mainly to conquer a target market.The experience of certified companies establishes that the costs of certification justify the benefits attributed to them. The compilation of knowledge gathered in this research aims to provide knowledge to companies contemplating the idea of becoming certified. | eng |
