Textile screen printing emerged in the 60s as a manual or industrial printing method, using a porous mesh from an art to a paper for printing. The art print is transferred by heat to shirts, bags and other fabric products. Companies that adopt these processes must strictly control inventory levels, because high amounts of raw materials generate high storage costs and shortages in inputs create unnecessary transportation costs and stoppages. An inventory measurement system was implemented in a Colombian screen printing company; from the diagnosis of the process, the construction of the flow diagram and an ARIMA prediction model, the necessary inventory levels in paper and inks were projected, to guarantee production during the next 12 - 18 months, minimizing the cost of storage and transport. Finally, a macro was built in Excel with Control Scorecard functions, in order to have reorder indicators and keep the predictions of the ARIMA model updated, necessary for the calculation of orders under an optimal quantity. The results of this research allowed to reduce total order costs by 5.7%, reduce storage and transportation costs by 16.6%, guarantee the supply of materials and generate a total annual saving of US $ 43,745 (COP $ 164,043,750 as of June 6, 2020) compared to the second best scenario.en
